Our life experiences have made us into the person we are now. This includes our emotional responses to others. It also develops our thought processes. Most times these are fine and help us with coping with the world and other people. However, often we can get ‘locked’ into an inappropriate response.

Counselling is a process of looking at our life, our relationships and our problems in such a way as to find the unhelpful patterns and responses. We can then change them.
